United Airlines (UAL-US) said on Thursday (16th) that the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has allowed the airline to restart certification activities including new aircraft and routes.
The FAA said in March it would step up oversight of United Airlines after a safety incident that saw the airline\’s certification activities suspended.
Aviation regulators said they would launch a formal review to ensure the Chicago-based airline complied with safety regulations.
United Airlines said in a statement: \”We will continue to accept FAA oversight of our operations and review our workflows, manuals and facilities.
The airline delayed the opening of two new international routes last month because the FAA suspended some certifications.
