The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224 to 187 on Thursday (16th) to pass a bill to pressure President Joe Biden to continue sending weapons to Israel.
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the \”Israel Security Assistance Support Act\” on Thursday, roughly in line with the bipartisan ratio.
House Foreign Affairs Chairman Michael McCaul said Biden\’s decision to withhold weapons allocated by Congress goes against the will of Congress and is tantamount to an arms embargo.
Biden recently stated that the United States would withhold some of the offensive weapons provided to Israel if Israel attacks Rafah.
The White House also said that even if Congress passes the bill, Biden will exercise his veto power.
According to the \”Capitol Hill\” report, although the House of Representatives passes the bill, it may not make any progress in the Democratic-controlled Senate.
